EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE

This fund offers limited assistance through a Ryan White fund of last resort for expenses such as phone and utilities and from a private fund for emergency housing and move-in related expenses.

RYAN WHITE FUND ANNUAL LIMIT
If monthly income is less than $1815; annual limit is $320

ELIGIBILITY
If client eligibility has not been previously established in ARIES by an agency in the Care system, a client must provide documentation of the following to the Fund Manager:

HIV/AIDS diagnosis
Marin County residency
Monthly income is less than $1815

APPLICATON PROCESS

If you have questions or want to submit a request, call 415/457-2487 or come into MAP between 12:00 and 4:00 pm. and meet with one of the Kip Mackey Peer Advocates.  You may complete the form yourself or have one of the advocates help you complete it.  If you already have a form, you may fax it to 457-5687 or drop it off at MAP!

Checks will be mailed to the vendor. Payments will only be made to vendors or providers of service or goods.

In most cases only basic services will be covered for one month. If there is a large PG&E or phone bill that is in arrears, up to 2 months of service may be covered at one time. 

Time to process a request for assistance:

Please allow 7 - 10 days for your request to be processed and a check to be sent to the vendor.
