Public transportation tickets empower eligible people living with HIV/AIDS to use public means to access medical providers and caseworkers in Marin and San Francisco.
ELIGIBILITY: If a person’s eligibility has not previously been established in the County Database by an agency in the CARE system they must provide documentation of the following to the Fund Manager at Marin AIDS Project:
HIV/AIDS diagnosis Marin County residency Monthly income is less than $3,610
HOW TO ACCESS: Two tickets to cover round-trip transportation are provided by Case Managers for each scheduled appointment. Tickets can also be mailed to clients.
People without case managers may request transportation assitance directly from Leslie Gallen, the Fund Manager at Marin AIDS Project 457-2487 ext. 105.
QUALIFYING TRIPS: Transportation Funds cover trips to medical, mental health, dental and physical therapy appointments, and to the pharmacy. Funds may also be used for getting to support groups as well as trips to see a case managers or benefits advocates.

Volunteer Drivers may be available when public transportation is not.
