Volunteer Services
Volunteers are the heart of Marin AIDS Project. Without the support of the Marin County residents volunteering their time to people living with HIV/AIDS, we could not exist. Volunteers provide a myriad of support services to clients, as well as administrative, prevention and fund raising support to the agency. Without the help of these dedicated people, we simply could not provide the level of services that we currrently offer.
Marin AIDS Project Volunteers provide the following services:
Emotional Support - including one-on-one support, weekly support groups and support for friends, family and loved ones.
Practical Support - for daily needs such as housekeeping, transportation, and child care.
Food Delivery - to homebound clients unable to afford or prepare their own meals.
Counseling - from licensed community therapists who offer reduced fees to our clients.
Outreach, Information and Training - to inform and educate the people of Marin County through our HIV and HCV Positive Speakers Bureaus and Outreach and Education Programs for prevention purposes.
Office Support and Fund Raising - to assist agency staff. Our reception desk is staffed by volunteers 40 hours per week. Volunteers also help with fund raising events and campaigns throughout the year.
